Preseason Hype Highlights: #8 Penn State Nittany Lions

Linebacker U. I have nothing else to say about Penn State for an intro that wont get me fired or at the very least suspended.

LaVar Arrington

LaVar Arrington is a top 10 guy you shit your pants if your job is to try and block him, run by him, or play quarterback near him. Him leaping the line remains one of the most impressive feats in recorded human history. If prime LaVar fought a grizzly bear my money would be on Arrington.

Larry Johnson

One of the more unheralded running backs of the 2000s after he replaced an injured Priest Holmes on the Chiefs only to have his career also cut short by injuries. Johnson put up over 2,000 total yards from scrimmage in 2005 and 2006, the only two years of his pro career he was able to play in all 16 games. He went on to score 55 rushing tds in the NFL, 47 of which came in his first four seasons. One of the better, less flashy touchdown celebrations, too. LJ was a monster and I, for one, wont be forgetting that any time soon.

Cam Wake

I’ll never understand how Cam Wake went undrafted, had to kick around the CFL for a few years before becoming one of the most dominant pass rushers of his era. The only thing I can think of is that at Penn State he went by Derek Wake. Derek Wake absolutely does not strike as much fear into an offensive line as Cameron Wake does.
